Odometer 10070 Mi Temp 25 F 7:05 PM "The Hammer"

My car is old. It has over 10k on it. I originally plan a celebration for it...flashing light, sounding the horn, etc. But I missed it somewhere over I-84.

When I did finally noticed this over the potholes of Bristol, it was too late. However, to make up for it, I danced (in my get down, funky Egyptian-John Travolta style) to this tune. Appropriate really.

Yes I'm a dork.

Yes, it was captured by the CCTV at the McD's Drive-Thru.

Yes, the car will need to be traded in.

Odometer 9824 Mi Temp 32 F 6:45 AM "Serenity Now!"

Alright, I'm not a big Seinfeld fan but this scene is fitting from what I've been feeling recently...

My car is just about the only place I can be alone with my thoughts so it was such a sign of relief when I only found a bit of serenity as driving home, alone, between Rt 4 and 6 in Farmington at 6:45 Sunday morning, especially given one of the best and worst week I can remember. It'a the best time to drive really. I'm the only car on the road, streets are completely quiet, green lights straight through, and smooth jazz playing gently in the background. The sun slowly rising over skyline and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. All it was missing was a cup of coffee. I wish I can have these type of morning more often. Hopefully the eternal optimistic in me says there will be.
